Alexter’s love of art began at an early age as he sat and watched his mother sketch family and friends. As a child he would imitate her skills in his sketchbooks. Before long, Alexter began drawing his favorite cartoon and comic book characters. Art fascinated him with its gift that made it possible for him to escape to imaginary worlds with magical stories. As Alexter matured and his artistry improved his work took on its more familiar themes of dreams, emotions, and a blending of realism and imagination.
While Alexter continues creating comics and illustrations with pen and pencil, he has embraced fine arts with his acrylic paintings. In his paintings he has found ways to express deeper thoughts and feelings that were much harder for him to depict in other mediums. The subjects of Alexter’s paintings derive from life events and vivid reoccurring dreams that continue until the specific piece is complete.
Alexter is a lifelong resident of Saint Augustine where he continues to learn and practice his craft.
