In a creative career that has spanned five decades, Ken Bowser has touched on nearly every aspect of the visual arts and written word. He’s the author and illustrator of over twenty books of Children’s Literature for a wide variety of international publishers, in addition to acting as primary illustrator to over 500 books and periodicals for every major publisher, world wide. Ken is also the writer, illustrator and creator behind an internationally syndicated newspaper column that appeared in hundreds of newspapers and periodicals across the United States, Canada and Europe. His many editorial illustration clients have included The Chicago Tribune, The New York Daily News, The New Yorker, Better Homes
& Gardens and Time and Newsweek magazines to name only a few. He’s acted as illustrator, copywriter and Creative Director on international advertising campaigns for such notable global brands as Disney, AT&T, Nickelodeon, Universal Studios, Pepsi, Pizza Hut, Yahoo, IBM, Tupperware, Motorola, Holiday Inn, Marriott and the Ritz Carlton to list only a
few.
Upon retirement from commercial work in 2020, Ken switched his focus back to fine art and oil painting. Ken is an honors graduate of the prestigious Ringling College of Art & Design in Sarasota and lives in Winter Park, Florida where he works from his home studio.
